Guangzhou, 20 June 2024. The 29th edition of the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) concluded on 12 June 2024, at the China Import and Export Complex in Guangzhou, concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). Running under the theme of “Light – The Power of Infinity” GILE 2024 gathered industry players to explore the diverse applications of light, and was met with much positive feedback from participants.

GILE opens today with record-breaking scale

Guangzhou, 9 June 2024. The 29th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) opens today and will run until 12 June at the China Import and Export Complex in Guangzhou. With a focus on technological advancements, the exhibition features the latest innovations in LED technology, smart and energy-efficient lighting solutions, lighting production technology, AIoT technology and cross-disciplinary solutions. Held concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), both shows occupy a total of 26 halls and 260,000 sqm of exhibition space hosting 3,383 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions.

GILE expands to record-breaking scale of 260,000 square metres

Guangzhou, 2 April 2024. The 29th Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), themed “Light – The Power of Infinity”, will be held from 9 – 12 June 2024, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, in exhibition areas A and B. As a platform for connecting leading industry players, the fair is expecting to attract over 200,000 lighting professionals across 26 halls covering a total of 260,000 sqm, making it the biggest edition of GILE so far.

GILE 2024 presents the concept of “Light – The Power of Infinity” this summer

Guangzhou, 19 January 2024. The 29th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and 21st edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will be held concurrently from 9 – 12 June 2024 in areas A and B at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The shows will expand to occupy over 230,000 sqm and cover 23 exhibition halls. GILE 2023 records significant increase in participation from previous year

Taking place across 22 halls of the China Import and Export Complex in Guangzhou, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) closed on 12 June 2023 attracting 3,318 exhibitors and 207,681 visitors to its 28th edition, concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). This represented a 157% and 62% increase from the previous edition.

GILE 2023 opens on 9 June with over 3000 exhibitors across 22 halls

The 28th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will take place under the theme of “Light +”, from 9 – 12 June 2023 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Concurrently held with the Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), the two fairs will expand to occupy areas A, B, and the new area D, covering a total of 220,000 sqm across 22 halls. The fair will explore exciting opportunities in the lighting industry, such as more human-centric interior design, advances in AIoT technology, and changes in consumer behaviour patterns.

“Light +” concept to explore the future relationship between lighting and other industries at GILE 2023

The 28th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will return to the China Import and Export Fair Complex from 9 – 12 June 2023. As one of the leading fairs for the lighting industry, GILE 2022 saw a significant rise in the number of visitors alongside the concurrent Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). The two fairs attracted 128,202 visitors from 58 countries and regions, which represented an increase of 31% from the previous editions.

Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition 2022 closes successfully, kick-starting the new era of lighting

The 27th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) closed its doors at the end of last week at the China Import and Export Centre in Guangzhou, taking place alongside the concurrent Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). This year saw a significant rise in the number of visitors, with the two fairs attracting 128,202 visitors from 58 countries and regions over the four days, a 31% increase from the previous edition. On top of this, companies from a variety of different industries came together at GILE this year to take part in the evolution of lighting.

The 27th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will take place alongside the 19th Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) at the China Import and Export Fair Complex from 3 – 6 August 2022. Dedicated to advancing the lighting and building sectors, GILE and GEBT will take full advantage of the synergies between different industries. The two exhibitions will bring together 1,288 brands from 13 countries and regions, across 110,000 sqm of exhibition space, including 11 show halls.

The two concurrent fairs, which were originally scheduled for June, will take place at the China Import and Export Fair Complex.

Next month’s Guangzhou Light + Building fairs postponed

The two Guangzhou editions that form part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building portfolio, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), have been postponed due to recent Covid-19 cases in the city. The fairs were originally scheduled to run from 9 – 12 June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. A new date for the two events will be announced shortly.

Concluding on 13 October, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition reached a milestone of 25 years as a leading industry platform. From 96 exhibitors at its debut in 1996, to a total of 2,028 at this year’s edition, the growth and achievements of the past quarter of a century are to be celebrated. Once again, the fair was held concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) and together, the two fairs attracted over 140,000 visitors to the heart of China’s manufacturing hub. Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition opens its doors this week to mark 25 years as a trusted industry platform

The four-day Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), one of the most influential lighting and LED events in Asia, will open its doors on 10 October, marking the show’s 25th anniversary. This year, the fair introduces the theme ‘Connect and Rebound Together!’ to encourage the industry to regather and revive in the midst of the pandemic recovery. GILE 2020 welcomes 2,028 exhibitors from eight countries and regions spanning 18 halls and 190,000 sqm. 25th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition rescheduled to 30 September – 3 October 2020

The fair’s organiser announced new dates for the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) today, in a commitment to the industry to create business opportunities within the current season. GILE is known as an influential and innovative design and technology marketplace, which fosters business and partnership building and provides networking and education opportunities while helping to ensure a sustainable future for the industry. The fair will move from its original June date to 30 September – 3 October, and will take place alongside Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou.

Messe Frankfurt postpones its upcoming Guangzhou Light + Building fairs

Messe Frankfurt has announced that the two concurrent fairs in its Light + Building portfolio, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), have been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Both fairs were originally due to take place from 9 – 12 June and will now be held at a future date which will be announced shortly. They will remain at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

Asia’s most influential lighting and LED event culminates with an increase in visitor numbers

Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition celebrated another successful edition as more than 165,000 visitors (5% increase from 2017) descended on the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from June 9 ‒ 12. A total of 2,602 exhibitors demonstrated the latest in lighting and LED products and solutions across 19 halls and 195,000 sqm of exhibition space. The main thoroughfare at the exhibition ¬– The Pearl Promenade – was also a hive of activity as the THINKLIGHT: Embracing Changes Forum enticed thousands of visitors to a programme of talks from some of the world’s leading authorities in lighting concepts, technology and design.
