GILE 2025 concludes successfully, marking 30 years of industry leadership

The 30th edition of the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) concluded on 12 June 2025 at the China Import and Export Complex in Guangzhou, running concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). GILE 2025 embraces new media marketing to redefine e-commerce and purchasing models in the lighting industry

Guangzhou, 19 March 2025. Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) 2025 launches the “Yang’s Selection” concept, a new themed area in Hall 6.1 of Zone A, curated in collaboration with Yang’s Lighting, a popular new media channel founded by Mr Yang Guo Ding. The area will feature lighting fixtures and technology aligned with six major lifestyle trends, showcasing innovative designs while leveraging e-commerce platforms and new media channels to elevate the reach and influence of modern lighting technology. GILE 2023 records significant increase in participation from previous year

Taking place across 22 halls of the China Import and Export Complex in Guangzhou, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) closed on 12 June 2023 attracting 3,318 exhibitors and 207,681 visitors to its 28th edition, concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). This represented a 157% and 62% increase from the previous edition.

The 28th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will return to the China Import and Export Fair Complex from 9 – 12 June 2023. As one of the leading fairs for the lighting industry, GILE 2022 saw a significant rise in the number of visitors alongside the concurrent Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). The two fairs attracted 128,202 visitors from 58 countries and regions, which represented an increase of 31% from the previous editions.

Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition 2022 closes successfully, kick-starting the new era of lighting

The 27th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) closed its doors at the end of last week at the China Import and Export Centre in Guangzhou, taking place alongside the concurrent Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). This year saw a significant rise in the number of visitors, with the two fairs attracting 128,202 visitors from 58 countries and regions over the four days, a 31% increase from the previous edition. On top of this, companies from a variety of different industries came together at GILE this year to take part in the evolution of lighting.

Once again, the fair was held concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) and together, the two fairs attracted over 140,000 visitors to the heart of China’s manufacturing hub. The four-day Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), one of the most influential lighting and LED events in Asia, will open its doors on 10 October, marking the show’s 25th anniversary. Messe Frankfurt postpones its upcoming Guangzhou Light + Building fairs

Messe Frankfurt has announced that the two concurrent fairs in its Light + Building portfolio, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), have been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Both fairs were originally due to take place from 9 – 12 June and will now be held at a future date which will be announced shortly. Asia’s most influential lighting and LED event culminates with an increase in visitor numbers

Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition celebrated another successful edition as more than 165,000 visitors (5% increase from 2017) descended on the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from June 9 ‒ 12. A total of 2,602 exhibitors demonstrated the latest in lighting and LED products and solutions across 19 halls and 195,000 sqm of exhibition space. The main thoroughfare at the exhibition ¬– The Pearl Promenade – was also a hive of activity as the THINKLIGHT: Embracing Changes Forum enticed thousands of visitors to a programme of talks from some of the world’s leading authorities in lighting concepts, technology and design.

The 23rd edition of the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), the most influential and comprehensive lighting and LED event in Asia, is set to take place from 9 ‒ 12 June 2018, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. Thanks to the positive response from the industry, the “THINKLIGHT” show concept will return and continue to develop at the 2018 show under the theme of “Embracing Changes”.
