Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition wrapped up last week, showcasing the latest developments in smart lighting technology
Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) concluded its 26th edition last Friday at the China Import and Export Complex in Guangzhou. The fair took place concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), and together featured 2,036 exhibitors and 97,688 visitors. Running with the theme ‘The Future is Now’, GILE 2021 promoted optimism for the lighting industry, seeking to share the latest developments and technological breakthroughs.
New dates for Guangzhou Light + Building fairs confirmed: 3 – 6 August 2021
Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will take place from 3 – 6 August 2021 now that the pandemic situation is under control in Guangdong province. The two concurrent fairs, which were originally scheduled for June, will take place at the China Import and Export Fair Complex.
Next month’s Guangzhou Light + Building fairs postponed
The two Guangzhou editions that form part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building portfolio, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), have been postponed due to recent Covid-19 cases in the city. The fairs were originally scheduled to run from 9 – 12 June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. A new date for the two events will be announced shortly.
Over 85% of exhibition space and 1,500 exhibitors confirmed for June’s Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition
The 26th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will be held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex from 9 – 12 June 2021. As a leading event in the Asian industry over these years, GILE is home to cutting-edge technological innovations, products and system designs. And this edition, with the Chinese Government’s recently formed ‘dual circulation’ and ‘new infrastructure’ development plans firmly in mind, the show will promote the latest lighting technologies and concepts, the integration of lighting and the internet, as well as collaboration between various industries.

The 25th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) concluded successfully last October, welcoming a total of 2,028 exhibitors together with 141,868 visitors. Continuing its status as the preeminent lighting exhibition in China, the 26th edition will be held from 9 – 12 June 2021 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, with the theme ‘The Future is Now’. The fair will continue with both online and in-person formats to ensure lighting industry peers from throughout the world can gather to project future developments and business opportunities, and to encourage each other to keep advancing in the recovery of the global lighting industry.
